is an Etsy Shop that sells stickers, cards and prints inspired by our Chinese Canadian background.
Role
This passion project was founded by Karen and I to create items that we love. Together we created the branding, social media design, stickers, and cards.

Branding
After analyzing which products did the best and which we enjoyed making the most, Karen and I soon realized we should target a smaller demographic that we would understand. Thus, we rebranded to "byJookSing" which reflects on our Canadian Chinese background of being stuck between two cultures.
One brand, two styles
After several series, we settled on a more cohesive style while having our own mixed in the products. This was done by setting up a small style guide for each theme which included types of lines, colour palettes, and type of shading.
Socials
After a few trials, we decided to have a set of three posts dedicated to each theme/product launch. Check out more of our social posts over at our Instagram!
Commissions
We received a commission from our professor at the University of Waterloo to create drink graphics to use in her class. After settling on a pastel colour scheme and a set stroke weight, we worked on the project on Illustrator.

I took photos for most of the product launches to use on our socials and Etsy listings.
Key takeaways
Through this project I've learned more about branding, collaboration, time management, communication, and leadership. Additionally, I have been able to practice different styles of digital art including a bit of isometric design.
