Graphic design request forms
To make it easier for others to submit requests for assets, my supervisor recommended making a form that employees could fill out online and allow me to keep track of the work I have done so far. These were fillable online pdfs.
Design handbook
Near the end of my term, I created a handbook for the next co-op who would have my position since I was the first co-op in this position and wanted to make it easier for future co-ops to adjust to the role.
Before designing the layout of the guide, I wrote out a text file of software that would be provided by the establishment, common issues (ie. office software being outdated compared to software on a personal device), and tasks that would be carried over.
To keep it consistent, the handbook's cover design was made to match the request form that I made. Next, the designs were relatively plain to ensure legibility of the text. Additionally, other designs were added in vibrant colours to captivate the reader's attention.
Thank you MCE!
I learned to design with a mix of loose and more restrictive requirements while collaborating with people in other fields. Additionally, I was given more exposure to Adobe InDesign, which I was inexperienced before this role.
